Refund policy
We want you to love what you buy from us, but we get it – sometimes it just doesn’t work out. Whether you didn’t like it, or it didn’t work as expected, we’ll try to make it right. If you’d like to make an exchange or return, here’s what you need to know.
We offer free returns or exchanges on most unused and unopened items in new condition, returned within 60 days after purchase with a receipt, unless noted in our return exceptions below. Just provide your receipt or proof of purchase, and we will refund the purchase price to the original form of payment. Purchases made with a gift card will be refunded as a gift card. Items that are opened or damaged or do not have a receipt may be denied a refund or exchange. Strollers, car seats and other baby gear can be returned within 60 days of purchase, in unopened, unused condition.

30 days
- Electrics - Baby monitoring devices, baby food prep, etc. can be returned within 30 days of purchase, in unopened, unused condition.
- Smart Home Technology - Smart home thermostats, smart security & safety and smart doorbell products, etc. can be returned within 30 days of purchase, in unopened, unused condition.
- Seasonal Items and Holiday Product & Decor, etc. can be returned within 30 days of purchase, in unopened, unused condition.
- Air Mattresses - New and unopened air mattresses may be returned within 30 days of purchase, in unopened, unused condition.
- Mattresses - New and unopened mattresses may be returned within 30 days of purchase, in unopened, unused condition. The mattress and/or set must be undamaged, unsoiled, and free of stains with law tags attached. Please note that your delivery fee won't be refunded. Costs such as shipping, storage and miscellaneous charges (such as cancellation and/or 15% restocking fees) may apply.
- Oversize and Large items - Truck delivery item(s) in the same condition/packaging as received may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt. Please note that your delivery fee won't be refunded. To schedule a return, use the contact form on the buybuybaby.com website here. We will arrange to have our carrier contact you to schedule a pick-up of your return. Costs such as shipping, storage and miscellaneous charges (such as cancellation and/or 15% restocking fees) may apply.
Cannot Be Returned or Refunded
- Items without receipt or proof of purchase
- Opened or used breast pumps
- "As Is" or Clearance Items
- Monogrammed, Personalized, Custom-Made and Special-Order Items
- Gift Cards
- Shipping, Delivery, Gift Wrap and Assembly Charges
ID requirements
We may limit or deny returns based on our use of a third-party refund verification system that helps protect against abusive or otherwise non-permitted returns. You may be required to present a valid photo ID* that may be retained in a secure, encrypted database, where permitted by law. Buy Buy Baby reserves the right to refuse any return.
*Buy Buy Baby accepts the following IDs for returns: U.S. Driver’s License, U.S. State ID, U.S. Passport, or U.S. Military ID.
Gift receipt or Gift registry returns
Items returned with a gift receipt will follow the standard return policy.
Items purchased from a Baby Registry that are new and unopened may be returned for a gift card within 365 days of purchase. For used items, the standard return policy applies.
Oversize and large items
Truck delivery item(s) in the same condition/packaging as received may be returned for any reason within 30 days of receipt (excludes monogrammed, personalized, custom-order or special-order items without manufacturer defect). Please note that your delivery fee won't be refunded for returns or order cancellations.
